You are responsible for checking your "@memphis.edu" e-mail account every day.  Please see the following message regarding e-mail from President Raines.

In general, Dr. Russomanno's office hours will be 2:45 - 4:30 PM on Tuesday and Thursday.  It is expected that he will have to attend some (to be announced meetings) during this time, so it is strongly recommended that you e-mail him first if you are coming to see him from a distance.  You can always e-mail him for an appointment.

All homework problems must include the full problem statement before the detailed solution is provided.

Assignment 1 is due on Tuesday, 9/2/03.  DBMS overview handout was provided in class.

Assignment 9 is due 10/23.  The ER scan was poor and it is difficult to read but it is the same as the one used in  Assignment 7.  Do all the queries called for in Assignment 9 using both DRC and QBE.  Ignore the references such as (Exercise 6.x) as they are irrelevant.

Some folks asked about insert into views during class.  There is no insert; however, there may be some limited form of update see pages 259-261.  We will discuss it more next time.

Assignment 10 due date has be delayed until 11/4/2003.  If you do not have access to a computer in which you can download the SQL ODBC View interface provided as part of Assignment 10, you can still complete the entire homework using only MicroSoft Access.  See the this document for help.
