Paper Details

Graduate students are required to submit a paper on a networking topic.  The paper should be at least 10 pages long (double-spaced, 12 pt type max) with a minimum of 5 independent references. The paper should be organized as follows:

1. Abstract: 50 word summary of paper with topic statement, key results, and conclusion.
2. Introduction:  Focus on the topic and its importance, but also summarize key results and conclusions.  Motivate interest in the paper.  Answer: What is the significance of the topic and why should the reader be interested?
3. Results: This is where you give the meat of the paper.  What did you find out?   What are the details?  Use the IEEE reference format (i.e. numbers in text and end notes).
4. Discussion:  What did you think of the topic?
5. Conclusion: Summarize topic statement, key results, and emphasize your conclusion.   Is this topic important, will it be important in the future, what direction is it headed?
