DefibViz is a visualization tool for the assessment of electrode parameters on transthoracic defibrillation thresholds. The software is freely available to researchers via a formal request to either D. Russomanno or A. de Jongh Curry. Use requires the acceptance of a formal terms and conditions document including and "as is" clause and other possible restrictions regarding commercial use. DefibViz is built using the open-source VTK framework and may serve as a platform for further tests and experiments, as well as a tool for extensibility.

Some of the visualization techniques in DefibViz were implemented and tested as part of term projects from an interdisciplinary data visualization course supported in part by the National Science Foundation CCLI program under Grant Number DUE-0410290.
